Video walkthrough

This walkthrough uses the real DeanDesk interface with the fictional Northstar Academy demo school and a calm, AI-generated English voice. Payments and outside services are not connected in the demo.
The Curriculum tab in the course sidebar shows the course’s learning sequence: units, the modules inside them, and the materials and assignments in each module. Students use it to work through the course in order. As the course teacher, you also see what’s hidden and can print the plan.

The curriculum view

Open Curriculum in the course sidebar. Each unit appears as a card with its title and chips counting its modules, materials, and assignments. Click a unit to expand it. Inside you’ll find:
  • the unit’s description, and its Skills, Objectives, and Standards when they are filled in
  • materials and assignments placed directly in the unit
  • its modules, each with an Objective and its own list of materials and assignments
Materials show a Required tag when students must complete them, and assignments show their points. Click any item to open it. If the course has no curriculum yet, the tab shows No curriculum available.
You see every unit and module, each with a visibility chip: Visible, Hidden, or Scheduled. You also see Export buttons on each unit and module, and Export Curriculum at the top.
Materials and assignments that aren’t placed in any unit don’t appear here. Students still find them in the Materials and Assignments tabs.
Click Export Curriculum to open a printable copy of the whole plan, or Export on a unit or module to print just that part. The export opens in a new window, ready to print or save as a PDF.
If nothing opens, allow pop-ups for your school’s site and try again.
