If a student cannot see an expected course, start with publication, course status and dates, enrollment, and the profile being viewed. This guide helps school admins and course staff check setup mistakes. Students and parents can confirm their profile and ask school staff to check the course settings.

Check the course and student

1

Make sure the course is published

Open the course from Admin Dashboard → Academics → Courses, then click Edit Course. Under Visibility & status, turn on Published and click Update Course when the course is ready for students.Saving a course does not necessarily publish it. Imported courses start as unpublished drafts. Admins and assigned course staff can see unpublished courses, so seeing a course in your own account does not confirm that students can see it.
2

Check course status and dates

In Edit Course, review Course status, the course’s start and end dates, and its academic term.Save changes with Update Course. Keep the actual course dates and status accurate.
Future courses appear as Upcoming and are included in the default student course view. A future start date alone should not hide an enrolled, published course. The compact My Courses widget shows active and upcoming courses only; use the enrolled course list’s Show all courses option for other statuses.
3

Confirm enrollment in the exact course

Open the course’s Students tab and check for the intended student. Compare the student’s account details and the course’s title and term, especially when courses have similar names.Creating a school account alone does not enroll the student in a course. Someone may have skipped enrollment, selected an older course, or removed the student from the course. If the student should be enrolled, use Add Students, select the correct account, and confirm Add Students. Review the result for any failures. See Enrolling students or Bulk enrollment.
4

Confirm the school and learner profile

Ask the student to confirm the school portal and the account they signed into. Compare their username or email with the enrolled account rather than relying on a matching name. For a parent, confirm that they are viewing the intended child’s dashboard, rather than their own profile or a sibling’s. A course assigned to another family member will not appear under the intended child.

Check purchase and capacity issues

If the course should come from a program or product purchase, or an enrollment attempt failed, review these additional checks. After correcting a product link or payment issue, check the course’s Students tab again to confirm the intended learner is enrolled.

Distinguish course status from enrollment status

Course status describes the course itself. A student’s enrollment status describes that student’s participation. Changing an enrollment to Withdrawn or Completed does not, by itself, remove the course from the current dashboard listing. Publication, course status, and course dates are separate checks. Removing the student’s course enrollment is also different from changing its status.

If the course is still missing

Reload the student’s dashboard after saving corrections. If the course is published, its status and dates are correct, and the intended account is enrolled, contact school support through Get support. Include the school portal, course name and link, student’s username or email, profile being viewed, and the checks you completed. Mention whether the course appears under Show all courses and include any enrollment error message. See School support tickets.
