Read the summary
Open a course you teach and choose Attendance in the course sidebar.- End date and Range set the window the summary covers: the chosen number of days (7, 14, 30, 60, or 90) leading up to the end date.
- The summary cards show the Rate plus counts of Present, Tardy, Excused, and Unexcused. When minutes late were recorded, the Tardy count also shows the total, for example 3 (25 min).
- Student summary lists each student’s counts and attendance rate, with the lowest rates first so you can spot who needs a check-in.

When you choose Tardy, a min late field appears. Enter how many minutes late the student arrived, or leave it blank.
4
Save
Click Save attendance. The session is recorded for today and the summary refreshes. Clicking Cancel or closing the dialog records nothing.
Take attendance always records a session for the current day. To change an earlier day, correct it in the history instead.
