This walkthrough uses the real DeanDesk interface with fictional school data and a calm, AI-generated English voice. It demonstrates the steps; it does not perform changes in your school.

Follow along

1

Review your pages

Select Website and content in School setup, then Open Website. Start with Pages. Review Built-In Page Templates too: built-in pages can exist even when there are no custom pages.
2

Create or edit content

Click Create Page for a new custom page, or open an existing page. Review text, images, buttons, contact information and visibility. Use the editor’s Blocks or HTML mode as appropriate. Keep unfinished content in draft; inspect the preview before publishing.
3

Set the visual design

Open Design to review logo, colors and page typography. Use Media to inspect image assets. Save pending changes before switching tabs; the console prompts you to save, discard or keep editing when changes remain.
4

Connect the navigation

Use Site Navigation for public links and the home page. Use App Menus for signed-in navigation. Check every important call to action leads to this school’s form, product or page, especially when content came from another website.
5

Preview and publish deliberately

Inspect the site on desktop and mobile, signed in and signed out. Test the route into registration or checkout. Publish only reviewed content. Return to the checklist and check I reviewed website and content after the pages and links behave as intended.
A published page and a visible navigation link are separate things. Verify both. Copying a page does not verify its embedded forms or destination links.

Video transcript

Your website should make the next action clear. From the website checklist step, open Website. Review the public content with your audience in mind, whether they are parents, adult learners or event visitors. The Pages tab lists your custom pages. Choose Create Page for a new one. Review Built-In Page Templates as well: an empty custom page list does not mean your school has no public pages. Keep new content in draft until it has been checked. Use Site Navigation for public links and the home page. App Menus controls navigation for signed-in users. Design manages your logo and colors. Save changes before switching sections, and check that links point to your own forms and products. Preview the school on a phone and a desktop, both signed in and signed out. Check buttons, images, contact details and the route into registration or checkout. Publish only the content you have reviewed, then return to your setup checklist.
