School-level feature — managed within your school portal at yourschool.deandesk.com.
Every user in a DeanDesk school has a personal account area. It holds your profile, family links, payments, transcript, and assigned forms in one place. Parents also get dedicated tools for tracking their children’s progress and viewing the portal as a child. To open it, click your avatar in the top-right corner of the portal and choose My Profile.

Account sections

The account area is organized into grouped sections in a left-hand menu. Which sections you see depends on your role and your school’s configuration.
Your school controls which sections appear. Admins can hide My Profile, My Family, My Transcript, Assigned Forms, Payments, Payment Methods, and Billing History school-wide from School Configuration, and some subscription plans limit the account area to a smaller set of sections. If a section listed above is missing, your school has turned it off.

The My Family tab

My Profile → My Family is the hub for household management. It has up to three tabs:
  • Family & Linked Children — your own account details, any linked parents or guardians, and a Children list showing each linked child’s name, email, username, date of birth, and grade. Parents can unlink a child from this list.
  • Child Applications — create and track admissions applications for your children. See Admissions for the full application flow.
  • Volunteer Hours — log community-service hours and track your approved total. This tab only appears if your school has volunteer hours visible. See Volunteers & volunteer hours.

The parent dashboard

When your account has parent access — typically once you have linked children with an approved application — your main Dashboard gains two parent-specific sections:
  • My Children — a card for each child showing their course count, assignments due, and a View as [child] button.
  • Children’s Progress — a compact per-child summary of courses, grades, attendance, and upcoming assignments. Expand a child’s card for details, or click View All to jump to My Family.

Viewing the portal as a child

Parents can open a read-only view of a child’s world:
1

Open your Dashboard

Find the My Children section.
2

Click View as [child]

DeanDesk opens [Child]‘s Dashboard — a read-only page showing the child’s enrolled courses and their pending and submitted assignments.
3

Exit when done

Click Exit View to return to your own dashboard.
The child view is read-only. You can see what your child sees, but you cannot submit work or make changes on their behalf.
