Payments and outside services are not connected in the demo.**Overview** is the first tab in the [course sidebar](/teaching/course-tour.md) and the page every course opens on. It's the course's home page: students land here to see what the course is about, when it meets, and anything you've marked as important. You don't edit the Overview directly. It's built from the course settings and your pinned announcements, so you change it by updating those.## What's on the OverviewFrom top to bottom, the Overview shows:| Part | What it shows | Where it comes from |
| - | - | - |
| **Important Announcements** | Up to three pinned course announcements. Click one to read it in full, or click the banner header to collapse it. Hidden when nothing is pinned. | Pinned posts in [Announcements](/teaching/announcements.md) |
