Use the school **Admin Dashboard**, not the institution dashboard.Ensure each offer has the right product type, price, checkout requirements and learner access.**Where to go:** **Finance → Products & Donations**, and **Finance → Stripe**.## Video walkthrough

> This walkthrough uses the real DeanDesk interface with fictional school data and a calm, AI-generated English voice. It demonstrates the steps; it does not perform changes in your school.## Follow along**1. Open the catalog**Choose **Products, prices and payments** in **School setup**, then **Open Products & Donations**. Review existing products before clicking **Create Product**.**2. Choose the product type and enrollment behavior**Use **Tuition** for admitted learners, **Program** for public course access or services, **Donation Campaign** for giving, **Physical Item** for stocked goods, and **Booking Session** for one-to-one time with a staff member (see [Booking sessions](/finance/bookings.md)). Where shown, review **How do students enroll?**: **Enroll through purchase** grants Student access to linked courses, **Admission required** expects admission, and **Keep existing behavior** retains custom behavior. A service pass should not accidentally grant Student access.**3. Complete details and type-specific settings**Continue through the product wizard. Review the name, description and relevant audience settings. Attach the intended courses where applicable. For programs needing an agreement or questionnaire, select the **Required Checkout Form**. Confirm the selected form is active and appropriate for public buyers.**4. Set prices and review payment setup**On **Pricing**, review labels, amounts and one-time, recurring or free behavior. For recurring prices, check interval and installment settings. Click **Create Product** after reviewing the complete offer. Donation campaigns have a different pricing flow. Separately open **Finance → Stripe** and review the school’s payment readiness; institution billing is a different account context.**5. Test the complete purchase**Complete a representative test checkout. Verify price, currency, required forms, receipt and access for the intended learner. Check the live-mode status separately before collecting real payments. Return to the checklist and mark **I reviewed products, prices and payments**. If your school does not collect payments, confirm that this step does not apply.> [!TIP]
>
> A connected Stripe account or a product record does not establish live payment readiness. The school’s sales currency was fixed at creation.## Video transcriptThis step connects what you offer with what people pay for. Open Products and Donations from the payments step. If your school does not collect payments, confirm that this step does not apply before marking it reviewed.Choose Create product. Tuition is for admitted learners, a Program can sell course access or a service, Donation Campaign is for giving, Physical Item is for stocked goods, and Booking Session sells scheduled time with a staff member. Choose the type based on what the buyer should receive.Review How do students enroll before continuing. Enroll through purchase grants student access to linked courses. A service pass should keep existing behavior. Complete the details, required forms, course links and pricing that apply to your product.Review your connection under Finance, Stripe, and complete a test checkout for a representative offering. Verify the price, currency, receipt and the learner’s access. A connected account or a product record alone does not prove live payment readiness.## More help- [Product wizard and pricing](/finance/products.md)
